For Once, I Have Nothing to Blog...

When did this happen? I'm usually a chatty person. I don't want to post about the obvious today. Too damned depressing, and I'll start crying. Which reminds me, I'm going to go fly my flag today. Hang on...

Back.

Okay, where was I? Hmm... Can you believe I have three books I need to finish before the end of the year?? I'm less than 5K away from finishing NATURE OF THE B*E*A*S*T*. YAY! I also have to finish ONCE A DREAMER, the first book in the Orphan Train series coming to Champagne Books next year, AND I've got to do the Vampire Chronicles book TOMB. I've been thinking about doing the vampy book for NaNoWriMo, since it's only about 20K, so it should be easy peasy. :)

However, it's already almost mid-September. ACK! I gotta get movin!

Show of hands... How many people are anxiously awaiting Wade's story? And which is your favorite shifter? Noah? Rogan? Wade? Someone else? :P Answer today in the comments, and your name will go into a random drawing for a PDF download of the BEAST book you want, either the first, THE B*E*A*S*T* WITHIN, or the second, B*E*A*S*T* OF BURDEN. Mavens are excluded from the contest. :)

Post your comment before 3pm PST / 6pm EST to enter! Woohoo!!

Choose one!!!! I want them all. You are such a great writer, you make us fall in love with all of them.

I have them both already, so I'm not entering the contest, just letting you know that I'm dying to read Wade. I wouldn't be able to say which is my favorite until I read Wade's story. Then maybe I can have a better idea.

Not sure who those characters are since I just found The Magic Mavens just the other day, but I did want to comment about NaNo- how long have you been doing it?

I did my very first one last year and "won." I'm currently unpublished, but I had just finished my 1st novel at the end of September last year and found out about NaNo shortly after that. My first book was one that had taken me over a decade to write, so I challenged myself with the 30 wild and crazy days and nights of writing and was really happy with the results. I'll be participating again this year. (You can find me under scribbling butterfly on the forums over there)

Not sure what I'll work on though. I've already finished a 3rd novel since then (did a personal 30 day writing from July to August and got that one finished ahead of schedule...just a lot of rework and revisions and such to do now before I start submitting.)

Have a good one!

Welcome, Taryn, to the Mavens! We're a troup of author friends who've banded together to make a promotional blog and newsletter that showcases all of us. :)

As far as NaNo goes, I haven't "officially" done it. However, this year, I believe I need to. Desperately. :P I have one full novel and a novella due by the end of the year and I haven't started on either of them much beyond the first chapter/prologue. ACK!

Gotta light some kind of fire under my big ol' bumsky. LOL
